Inspired by a visit to the Fertile community in Auroville, India in April 2017. I stayed in a treehouse with a huge clanking windmill over it, roosters and peacocks wandering around. The compostion is a collage of photographs I took at that time. I really really really love Marc Chagall and was going for his sort of feel in this painting, dreamlike with strong colour and an almost childlike honesty.
